Ne-Yo Sues R. Kelly

Ne-Yo has launched a lawsuit against R. Kelly's concert promotion company Rowe Entertainment after the Chicago R&B star booted him off his current tour.

The Smoking Gun Web site obtained the lawsuit, filed December 31 in Los Angeles Superior Court. In it, Ne-Yo, whose God-given name is Shaffer Smith, alleges that he was kicked off the tour due to reviews and crowd reaction being more favorable for him than R. Kelly.

Ne-Yo says that he was set to earn $785,000 for opening for R. Kelly at a minimum 25 shows. Ne-Yo only completed two shows before being kicked off the tour.

I guess he should have taken a clue from Jay-Z. You know the "Best of Both Worlds" tour was a fiasco. What made him think anything would be different?
