Swagger Ready reported yesterday that the "Don't Be Cruel" singer had a heart attack. Wait for it ... Just Kidding!
Bobby Brown says contrary to yesterday's reports, he did not have a heart attack.
"I did go to the hospital ... to just get a checkup, get everything tested out so that I could go on this tour, and everything is fine," he told the Associated Press. "I don't know where the heart attack thing came from. I got my heart and everything checked out earlier this morning, and I'm just fine."
Brown's longtime lawyer, Phaedra Parks, issued a statement yesterday saying that Brown was recuperating in a California hospital after suffering a mild heart attack Tuesday evening.
"He's recovering nicely. We thank everybody for their thoughts and prayers," Parks said. "We really appreciate the outpouring of support."
Brown told EURweb.com's Lee Bailey that he had to set the record straight once his kids starting hearing the reports.
"It bothers me a lot because my kids are hearing it and they’re calling me crying and stuff, so I just had to let everybody know that I am OK. That’s what happens when you’re Bobby Brown,” he told Bailey. “I just had some procedures done. But everything’s all right with me. I got a clean bill of health and everything’s fine.”
Brown is scheduled to take the stage Oct. 13 in Los Angeles at the V-100 Taste of Soul concert.
Whoever started this rumor ought to be ashamed. And, Bobby needs to fire his lawyer.
