Rapper DMX -- the man who brought us such hits as "Ruff Ryders Anthem," "Who We Be," "Lord Give Me a Sign" and the Grammy-nominated "Party Up (Up In Here)" -- has reached an all-time low.
DMX, whose God-given name is Earl Simmons, allegedly is trying to weasel his way out of a hospital bill. On April 15, Mayo Clinic Hospital doctors thought they were treating a man named Troy Jones for pneumonia. In reality, it was the 37-year-old rapper who checked into the emergency room, complaining of shortness of breath and chest pains, documents said.
Doctors diagnosed him with pneumonia and released him eight hours later. According to a May 9 search warrant by Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies (Arizona), DMX provided the hospital with "false information, including name and address for billing purposes" and "committed the crime of theft of services." He has not been charged as of yet.
